Assembly Operator
KP Staffing is now hiring assemblers for a company that manufactures fiber optic cable in Fort Worth, TX!
Job Summary
The assemblers will inspect fiber optic components using inspection tools such as magnifying glasses and microscopes while performing assembly and packaging tasks following documented processes. The company manufactures industry-leading fiber optic components that support high-bandwidth systems, including cloud computing, core routing, and fiber-to-the-home networks.
Pay
$20 per hour during training, then transition to production-rate pay (weekend shift)
$19.50 per hour during training, then transition to production-rate pay (off shift)
Shift
Weekend shift: 5 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday – Monday
Off shift: 6 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., Monday – Friday
Must be able to transition to 5:30 p.m. – 3:30 a.m., Monday – Friday
Overtime as requested
Duties
- Inspect fiber optic components using a magnifying glass and microscope
- Perform assembly tasks following documented processes
- Perform packaging tasks as trained
- Follow established quality standards
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Package finished products as instructed
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of assembly experience
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work overtime as requested
