Automotive Electrician
KP Staffing is now hiring automotive electricians for a company that manufactures advanced composite technology and superior pump performance on fire engines in Weatherford, TX !
Job Summary
The automotive electrician will route harnesses and cables through truck frames and cabs, install lights and electrical parts, and support electrical assembly and troubleshooting functions. This role requires vehicle wiring experience, general mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
Pay
$17-$20 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday
Duties
- Route harnesses and cables through truck frames and cabs
- Install lights and electrical parts
- Perform testing on equipment and troubleshoot necessary parts
- Install, clean, and organize electrical parts
- Assist in the inventory of parts
- Install hand-run circuits to operate specific electrical options
- Operate hand and power tools, including a tie gun, cordless drill, and air ratchet
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
Qualifications
- Experience with vehicle wiring
- Good communication skills
- General mechanical knowledge
- At least 6 months of experience required
- Ability to lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, or shelf
- Understanding of wires, harnesses, cables, and tools
- Basic hand tools and rolling toolbox/cart required
- Technical degree or certificate in Automotive Technology, Diesel, Electro-Mechanical, or related field, or experience in automotive or truck electrical repair and diagnostics
