Job Summary
The electrical l1 technician will perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment within the facility. This role supports equipment reliability and uptime by completing inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical repairs to OEM specifications.
Pay
$32.76 per hour
Shift
2nd, 3rd, weekend
Duties
- Maintain a good working relationship with operating personnel to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
- Perform electrical maintenance on machinery and equipment within the facility
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions to OEM specifications
- Routinely check the performance of electrical equipment and perform assigned preventive maintenance
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and process work orders
- Follow all PPE policies and safety rules
- Operate within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis requirements
- Run conduit, cable tray, wiring and perform terminations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Electrical certification or technical degree in industrial electrical maintenance and repair preferred but not required if on-the-job training and sufficient work history experience can be validated
- Ability to read operating and maintenance instructions, procedure and equipment manuals, and electrical schematic drawings
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with co-workers
- Spanish language skills are beneficial but not required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Knowledge of general manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Exposure to PLC development software, electrical design software, internet software, order processing systems, and project management software preferred
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and communication systems
- Experience with ladder logic and basic troubleshooting skills with equipment software language
- Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens equipment preferred but not required
- Ability to work a flexible or rotating schedule, including overtime when needed
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively
- Pre-employment testing may be required
