Job Summary
The flattener operator is responsible for operating and maintaining flattening equipment to ensure high-quality metal sheets are produced efficiently. The flattener operator will set up machines, monitor operations, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot issues to maintain continuous production. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols to minimize downtime and ensure product specifications are met.
Pay
$20.83 to $25.00 an hour, depending on experience
Shift
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Must be able to work rotating shift and weekends.
Duties
- Set up and operate flattening machinery according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent quality and output.
- Perform routine inspections and quality checks on flattened sheets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience operating flattening or similar industrial equipment is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong safety awareness and compliance.
