Job Summary
The jockey driver will move trailers in and out of dock doors and designated yard locations while supporting safe and efficient yard operations. This role includes inspecting equipment, verifying trailer information, maintaining logs, and following safety standards.
Pay
$23 per hour
Shift
1st, 2nd shift: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Duties
- Move trailers in and out of dock doors and designated yard locations
- Perform trailer spotting and yard management activities safely and efficiently
- Inspect trailers and jockey trucks before and after use
- Verify trailer numbers, seals, and documentation
- Communicate with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and security personnel
- Maintain accurate movement logs and reports
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Report equipment issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately
- Assist with basic yard organization and cleanliness
