Job Summary
The logistics coordinator will oversee the efficient movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the supply chain in a manufacturing environment. This role supports inventory accuracy, shipping coordination, and timely deliveries to and from production facilities.
Pay
$20 – $22 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Duties
- Oversee the movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the supply chain
- Ensure adequate supplies of product and equipment
- Reconcile inventory results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Support continuous inventory improvements using best practices
- Maintain awareness of transportation management system capabilities and shortcomings
- Validate shipments, receipts, and invoices for all product received and shipped
- Develop working relationships with management, carriers, supply chain teams, and vendors
- Communicate exceptions, transportation changes, problem resolution, and equipment or service needs
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods
- Check order status in WMS
- Complete system filing in SharePoint
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on freight billing, invoice reconciliation, and cost analysis
- Help maintain safety and compliance documentation, including hazardous materials handling and shipping certifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of logistics systems and manufacturing operations
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screen
