Machine Operator (1st Shift – Level 3)
KP Staffing Garland is now hiring machine operators in Forney, Texas!
The level 3 machine operator will oversee the operation of multiple machines, support the training of other operators, and help ensure efficiency and quality in a manufacturing environment.
Pay
$19.25 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday – Wednesday OR Wednesday – Saturday, with rotating Wednesdays
Duties
- Operate and set up multiple machines according to standard operating procedures as needed
- Identify and report machine malfunctions and the need for minor repairs
- Conduct machine inspections and support the preventative maintenance process
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
- Load and unload materials into machines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Complete and maintain accurate production documentation and logs
- Assist with routine machine maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication as needed
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Recommend process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
- Support the training and mentoring of other machine operators
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment operating complex machinery
- Knowledge of machine operations and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in different climates (cold or hot)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to train and mentor others
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to walk/stand for an extended period
- Must be able to lift, push, and move items weighing 40 pounds or more
