Maintenance Technician
KP Staffing is now hiring a maintenance technician in Duncanville, TX!
Job Summary
The maintenance technician will maintain the facility, manufacturing equipment, and forklift equipment, including performing building maintenance and basic mechanical maintenance on forklifts.
Pay
$18 – $25 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
Duties

Repair malfunctioning equipment to get production running again when equipment is down

Perform electrical systems troubleshooting on a variety of equipment

Troubleshoot multiple equipment control panels

Perform regular quality checks on equipment as part of the preventative maintenance program

Maintain in-house and minor building plumbing systems

Maintain inspection and repair schedules

Advise the Purchasing Manager regarding necessary purchases

Train employees on proper equipment usage
-
Act as an on-call handyman when needed

Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for all energized machines
Qualifications
-
Welding experience is a plus but not required
-
Parts fabrication experience is a plus but not required
-
Pneumatic experience is a plus but not required

Basic forklift maintenance experience

Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
-
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
-
Thorough working knowledge of facility equipment, proper usage, and safety procedures
-
OSHA safety knowledge is a plus
-
Previous LOTO experience required

Specialized tools provided; must bring own tools

Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently
-
Must have a flexible schedule
