Material Handler
KP Staffing Arlington is now hiring material handlers in Grand Prairie, Texas!
The Material handler will perform warehouse and production duties including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, material handling, and operating production machinery. This role ensures materials and customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Pay
$15 – $16 per hour
Shift
1st, 2nd, 3rd, & weekend shift
Duties
- Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately using RF scanners or warehouse management systems
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and palletizing
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment as required
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory
- Move materials and finished products throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Report damaged products, materials, or equipment to supervisors
- Operate and monitor production machinery according to company procedures and safety guidelines
- Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products from equipment
- Set up, adjust, and make basic machine changes as needed
- Monitor machines for proper operation and report issues or malfunctions
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company specifications
- Follow production schedules and meet daily productivity goals
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Perform basic troubleshooting and notify maintenance or supervisors of mechanical issues
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center experience preferred
- Previous machine operating experience is a plus
- RF scanner experience preferred
- Forklift or other material handling equipment experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
