Job Summary
The Overnight stick welder will perform stick welding on structural steel components, including beams, columns, base plates, and other building components. This role requires reading blueprints and welding symbols, operating fabrication tools, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Pay
$18 – $22 per hour, DOE
Shift
3rd shift: 5 p.m. – 5:30 a.m., Monday – Thursday, OT as required
Duties
- Perform stick welding on structural steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
- Weld beams, columns, base plates, and other building components
- Operate grinders, torches, and other fabrication tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Pass a weld test
- Work the scheduled hours
Qualifications
- 1+ years of stick welding experience
- Structural steel experience preferred
- Ability to pass a welding test
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
