Job Summary
The press machine assistant supports the pasta production process by assisting the press operator with dough preparation, machine setup, and dye changes while ensuring products meet quality and production standards.
Pay
$14.60 per hour
Shift
Rotating schedule 2 on, 2 off, every other weekend
7 A.M. – 7 P.M.
Scheduling is based on production schedule and will be discussed during the interview.
Duties

Follow production specifications and assist with dough preparation, including supporting press operator activities and dye changes.

Operate and monitor computerized dough mixing equipment while assisting with product sampling and moisture testing.

Maintain compliance with food safety, food quality, and food defense standards, including HACCP, BRC, FSMA, and GMP requirements.

Perform routine equipment cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas to maintain a safe and orderly production environment.

Identify and report food safety, equipment, or workplace safety concerns while following all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members and leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting production goals.
- Knowledgeable in selecting and using proper cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures for equipment.
- Flexible and available to work various shifts based on business and production needs.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and assist with material handling responsibilities.
