KP Staffing is hiring Quality Inspectors for a large metal form manufacturing company in Fort Worth.

Job Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all manufactured parts meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and company quality standards. This position performs first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments while documenting inspection results and identifying non-conforming products. The ideal candidate has experience in a metal manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Schedule and Pay Rate

1st Shift | 5:00 am-2:30 pm Monday-Friday (over time and Saturdays)

2nd Shift | 2:30 pm-12:30 am Monday- Friday (over time and Saturdays)

Pay ranges from $19.00 – $27.50 based on experience. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on metal formed components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, thread gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Verify product dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish meet customer and company requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Assist production teams in identifying quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and company procedures.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects such as scratches, dents, burrs, weld quality, and coating issues.
  • Maintain calibration awareness of inspection equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve product quality.
  • Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a metal manufacturing, machining, fabrication, stamping, or forming environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T preferred.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments, including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height gauges
    • Dial indicators
    • Pin gauges
    • Thread gauges
    • Tape measures
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing tolerances and quality standards.
  • Experience completing inspection reports and maintaining quality records.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift up to 40 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity to operate precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish fine details and accurately inspect manufactured parts.
