KP Staffing Garland is now hiring Reach Truck Operators in Forney, TX!
Job Summary
The reach truck forklift operator will support shipping and warehouse operations by operating stand-up/reach forklift equipment, verifying and recording shipments, maintaining shipment records, and performing related clerical duties.
Pay
$18 per hour
Shift
-
1st shift: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
-
Must be flexible with the schedule and able to work overtime, including weekends
Duties
-
Follow all procedures, policies, and SOPs involving data entry for production, shipments, recollections, and document controls and retention

Verify and record all items loaded for shipments
-
Accurately maintain shipping records for requested categories, including returned goods, damage, and returnable shipments

Maintain shipment data to ensure orders are updated and appropriate billing documents are completed as required

Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
-
Prepare bills of lading for shipments

Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage
-
Perform other clerical duties as needed
Qualifications
-
Must have stand-up/reach forklift experience
-
1–3 years of experience in general office administration
-
1+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving department preferred
-
Previous face-to-face customer service experience
-
Basic to intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel
-
SAP experience preferred
-
Filing experience
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
-
Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high-volume operational requirements
-
Demonstrated success handling multiple projects in addition to normal responsibilities

Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
-
Ability to traverse the distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces by stretching, squatting, and reaching

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time

Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock
