Job Summary
The shipping helper will assist with loading, unloading, moving, and organizing steel pipe and tubular products in a yard or warehouse environment. This role supports material handling activities, prepares pipe for shipping or storage, and works safely around equipment and elevated storage areas.
Pay
$16 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday – Friday (weekends if needed)
Duties
- Assist in loading, unloading, and moving steel pipe and tubular products
- Perform frequent heavy lifting and manual handling of pipe, bundles, and materials
- Support forklift, crane, and wheel loader operators during material movement activities
- Stack, band, and organize pipe in designated yard or warehouse locations
- Apply caps, protectors, dunnage, and packaging materials to pipe as required
- Clean, prepare, and stage pipe for shipping, receiving, or storage
- Climb ladders, pipe racks, and elevated structures to assist with material handling and organization
- Assist in accessing upper levels of pipe storage racks for loading and unloading operations
- Work safely at heights while following company safety procedures and fall protection requirements
Qualifications
