Job Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will oversee daily inbound and outbound operations within a high-volume reverse logistics, 3PL, and distribution environment. This role will lead warehouse teams while ensuring accurate receiving, timely shipments, inventory control, productivity, quality, safety, and overall department performance.
Pay
$65,000 – $75,000 per year
Current Openings & Shifts
1st Shift | Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Shipping & Receiving Supervisor – 2 openings
- Some Saturdays as needed
Duties
- Lead daily shipping and receiving operations from start to finish
- Coordinate inbound receiving, product movement, staging, and outbound shipments
- Ensure products are received, processed, documented, and shipped accurately and on time
- Monitor daily workload, staffing levels, productivity, and department priorities
- Track department KPIs and address performance or workflow issues
- Maintain accurate inventory, shipping, receiving, and operational records
- Investigate receiving discrepancies, shipment errors, and inventory issues
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, staging, and movement of products
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees
- Set clear expectations and maintain accountability for attendance, productivity, quality, and performance
- Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development
- Coordinate with inventory, orders, production, and operations teams to maintain workflow
- Maintain a strong leadership presence on the warehouse floor
- Enforce safety policies and maintain an OSHA-ready work environment
- Identify and implement process and continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, distribution, or logistics experience
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a high-volume operation
- Experience managing hourly warehouse employees
- Strong knowledge of inbound and outbound shipping and receiving processes
- Experience in 3PL, reverse logistics, distribution, fulfillment, or high-volume processing strongly preferred
- Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory systems, scanners, and shipping documentation preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work occasional Saturdays as operationally required
