Transformer Service Technician
KP Staffing is now hiring transformer service technicians in Houston, TX!
Job Summary
The technician will perform electrical, mechanical, and installation work on transformers, including minor welding and paint touch-ups. This role requires frequent travel to job sites and supporting service calls that may last several hours or all day.
Pay
$20 – $25 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Duties
- Perform electrical work on transformers
- Complete minor TIG, stick, and MIG welding to patch transformers
- Use mechanical knowledge to support repairs and installations
- Paint tanks when paint is missing
- Assist with installation work
- Travel to various job sites as needed
- Support service calls that may last several hours or all day
Qualifications
- Valid passport
- Willingness to travel up to 70%
- Electrical knowledge
- Basic TIG, stick, and MIG welding experience
- Mechanical knowledge
- Installation knowledge
- Bilingual (Spanish is required)
