KP Staffing is now hiring shop & field service technicians in Granbury, Texas!
Job Summary
The shop & field service technician will assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair power generation equipment in the shop and at customer sites. This role supports commissioning, preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections, and ongoing technical support while following company safety policies and procedures.
Pay
$25 per hour + $5 Travel Diff
Shift
6:00AM – 6:00PM, Monday – Friday
Duties
- Install and assemble mechanical and electrical components, systems, and power generation equipment according to drawings, specifications, and company standards
- Perform wiring, mechanical alignment, system integration, and verify proper fit, function, and quality of completed installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and engineering documentation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair, replace, and adjust components to restore equipment performance and reliability
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, retrofit projects, and corrective maintenance activities
- Perform equipment startups, commissioning, operational testing, and functional verification of power generation systems
- Monitor equipment performance using gauges, meters, and diagnostic software to ensure proper operation
- Document test results, identify issues, and complete corrective actions to meet quality and customer requirements
- Travel to customer locations to perform installations, inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergency service
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, equipment recommendations, and basic customer training
- Maintain professional customer relationships by delivering quality workmanship and timely service
- Complete service reports, inspection records, maintenance documentation, and production paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts usage, equipment inspections, and service activities
- Communicate technical issues, repair needs, and project updates with supervisors, engineering, production teams, and customers
