KP Staffing is now hiring for a Welder for a company in Riverside, MO!
Job Summary
The welder will weld carbon steel plate under prescribed conditions, using blueprints and welding symbols to complete work accurately. This role includes grinding and cleaning surfaces, following QC procedures, and completing assigned tasks within standard time allowances.
Pay
$24.00 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday (no weekends, possible overtime available)
Duties
- Weld carbon steel plate under prescribed conditions
- Grind and clean surfaces before and after welding as required
- Use grinders, stick welders, MIG welders, and other applicable tools to complete work
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols to complete work correctly
- Complete assigned tasks in the welding department by the standard time allowed
- Follow all safety rules and requirements
- Follow all QC procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel
- Ability to pass a 6g weld test
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to perform extensive walking
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, work from ladders or scaffolding, or perform duties with reasonable accommodation
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure
- Proficiency in duo-shield welding, TIG, and/or SAW preferred
