KP Staffing Hickory is now hiring machine operators for a leading manufacturer that specializes in superabsorbent polymer products!

Job Summary

Operate traverse?winding machines to produce properly wound spools or packages according to production specifications.

Monitor machine performance, tension, and winding patterns to ensure consistent quality.

Inspect finished packages for defects such as uneven winding, contamination, broken ends, or incorrect weights.

Perform thread?ups, restarts, and basic machine adjustments as needed.

Remove full packages and replace them with empty tubes or cores to maintain continuous operation.

Label, weigh, and stage completed packages for the next production step or shipment.

Maintain accurate production records, including counts, weights, and quality checks.

Assist maintenance or operators by reporting mechanical issues or irregular machine behavior.

Keep the traverse area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards.

Follow all plant safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe handling of moving machinery.
Shift
3 p.m. – 11 p.m., Monday – Friday
Pay
$18 per hour + Attendance Bonuses
Job Details

Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. safely.
