Job Summary
The assembly technician will assemble, inspect, and test equipment while following established procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Pay
$18 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 7 a.m.- 5 pm
Duties
Assemble equipment and components according to approved procedures, specifications, and torque values
Safely torque and untorque threaded connections on a consistent basis
Inspect parts before and after assembly to confirm condition, fit, and proper installation
Perform or assist with functional testing, including testing conducted at external partner sites
Report assembly problems, damaged parts, test failures, or other quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for assigned tools and equipment
Qualifications
Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and basic measuring equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble components accurately
Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, work procedures, technical drawings, checklists, and specified torque values
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect components
Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to external partner sites for equipment testing when required
Ability to follow company safety procedures and comply with external partner site-access and safety requirements
Ability and willingness to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and protective footwear, as applicable
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively as part of a team
Basic computer skills for completing work orders and documenting assembly, inspection, and testing results
Ability to safely and consistently perform repetitive mechanical tasks, including applying the force required to torque and untorque threaded connections using approved tools and procedures, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to lift, carry, and move tools, parts, and equipment as required
Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, oilfield equipment, electronics assembly, or equipment testing
Experience using calipers, micrometers, torque tools, or other inspection and measuring equipment
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, particularly when operating a company vehicle may be required
