Job Summary 

The ehs manager will lead and continuously improve the company's environmental, health, and safety programs across U.S. operations. This role is responsible for driving safety strategy, maintaining regulatory compliance, overseeing safety systems, and supporting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.

Duties

  • Provide vision and direction for the company's safety strategy in the U.S
  • Champion a culture of safety across all levels of the business
  • Lead safety planning aligned with strategic objectives
  • Advise leadership on emerging safety risks and regulatory changes
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and review of safety management systems in compliance with OSHA and best practices
  • Ensure alignment of EHS systems, job safety analyses, procedures, and documentation across business units
  • Maintain contractor management systems
  • Audit and assure compliance with internal and external safety requirements
  • Oversee analysis of safety performance data and present insights to leadership
  • Monitor leading and lagging safety KPIs
  • Ensure incident reporting, investigation, and resolution procedures are timely and effective, including OSHA recordkeeping
  • Set standards for safety orientation, refresher training, and professional development
  • Design and deliver leadership-level safety education across the business
  • Engage staff and contractors to identify issues and build safety ownership

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the safety team
  • Promote high performance, capability development, and succession planning
  • Foster collaboration between safety, operations, engineering, and manufacturing teams

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, including multi-site or senior leadership roles
  • OSHA 30-Hour required
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA (29 CFR 1910 / 1926), EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Experience leading toward and maintaining ISO 45001 or OSHA VPP recognition
  • Proven ability to build and mentor safety teams and influence at the executive level
