Job Summary
The EHS manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system while ensuring compliance with engineering, client, and regulatory requirements. This role will drive continuous improvement in quality performance, systems, and culture across manufacturing and production operations.

$85,000 – $120,000 per year

Duties
Develop, maintain, improve, and standardize an effective quality management system aligned with ISO 9001, regulatory, customer, and project-specific requirements
Ensure quality standards are continuously met and reviewed against internal and external customer needs
Ensure all policies, procedures, and work instructions are current, controlled, and effectively communicated
Lead internal and external audits, including certification audits
Maintain document-control systems and proper recordkeeping
Oversee project quality plans, inspection and test plans, and checklists
Ensure quality requirements are embedded into project-delivery processes
Conduct shop and site inspections and quality audits across fabrication and construction activities
Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance with quality standards
Ensure defects, non-conformances, and rework are minimized
Manage the non-conformance report process
Lead root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Track and report on trends, recurring issues, and lessons learned
Ensure compliance with contractual specifications, engineering design, building codes, regulations, and company standards and procedures
Liaise with clients, general contractors, and regulatory bodies on quality matters
Drive continuous-improvement initiatives across projects and operations
Analyze quality data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
Promote a culture of quality and right first time delivery
Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality processes and systems
Mentor engineers, supervisors, and QA personnel
Lead quality-awareness initiatives across the organization

Qualifications
Proven experience as a quality manager within construction or manufacturing
Strong understanding of manufacturing and construction processes, materials, safety regulations, and quality-management principles
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership and team-development capability
Proficiency in quality and document-management systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification preferred
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction or manufacturing quality management
Experience in infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facility projects
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or strong familiarity with AWS D1.1 a plus
Strong knowledge of fabrication and construction methodologies and quality-control processes
