Entry Level Woodworkers
KP Staffing Hickory is now hiring entry level woodworkers for a company that manufactures high end furniture in Morganton, NC!
Job Summary
The entry level woodworker will set up and operate woodworking machinery, assemble and finish wood products, and support production activities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Pay
$14.50+ per hour, DOE
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday & Friday 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Duties
-
Set up and operate vertical and horizontal boring machines, band saws, chop saws, variety saws, overhead routers, shapers, and planers

Install hardware, fixtures, and other components

Sand, stain, paint, or finish wood products

Inspect completed products for quality and accuracy

Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning

Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Maintain production schedules and meet daily output goals

Record production data and material usage
-
Assist with packaging and shipping preparation when required
Qualifications
-
Must have 1+ years of experience operating woodworking machinery

Must be able to read and understand English instructions
-
Must be able to accurately measure using a tape measure
-
Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
-
Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit, or stand for extended periods
-
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, and crouch throughout the workday
-
Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance
-
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
-
Must complete required Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training or refresher
