Job Summary
The inventory clerk will manage inventory levels, coordinate logistics, and ensure accurate data entry across multiple systems. This role supports warehouse efficiency and inventory control through analysis, communication, and process improvement.
Pay
$18 – $20 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Duties
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and ERP software such as AS400
- Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and perform root cause analysis to identify inventory variances
- Support procurement activities by sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts to optimize costs
- Assist in demand planning and production scheduling through data mining, sales analysis, and supply chain analytics tools
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations, including materials handling, order fulfillment, and heavy lifting tasks when necessary
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, logistics, and procurement to improve processes and implement inventory management best practices
- Utilize data visualization techniques to report on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and supply chain performance
- Monitor logistics inventory management activities including stocking strategies, third-party logistics providers, and transportation scheduling
- Support warehouse management system updates and ensure compliance with safety standards during materials handling
- Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives by analyzing data and applying lean methodologies
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish with excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution, inventory management software, and ERP systems such as AS400
- Experience with warehouse operations including shipping and receiving, materials handling, and third-party logistics coordination
- Proficiency in Excel data analysis, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts including demand planning, procurement, sourcing, and category management
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively
- Technical proficiency with forklift operation if certified, materials management systems, and logistics inventory management tools
- Strong math skills for pricing strategies and demand forecasting
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to liaise between suppliers, warehouse teams, and management
- Experience in retail or manufacturing environments involving heavy lifting and materials handling
- Forklift certification
- Shipping and receiving experience
