Job Summary
The maintenance technician will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on diesel, gasoline, and electric-powered equipment. This role supports equipment reliability by identifying maintenance needs, completing service records, and helping minimize downtime.
Pay
$23 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Duties
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services according to OEM maintenance intervals and company maintenance plans
- Conduct inspections, lubrication, fluid changes, filter replacements, and adjustments on diesel, gasoline, and electric equipment
- Inspect hydraulic, electrical, cooling, steering, braking, drivetrain, and suspension systems
- Perform battery inspections, maintenance, and diagnostics on lithium battery-powered equipment
- Inspect and maintain industrial electric forklifts, golf carts, heavy equipment, and support vehicles
- Complete maintenance checklists, service reports, and equipment history records
- Identify abnormal wear, leaks, vibration, unusual noises, or early signs of mechanical failure
- Recommend corrective maintenance when deficiencies are identified
- Follow OSHA, environmental, and company safety procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and safe condition
- Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs when required
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or associate degree in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, heavy equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, or related field preferred
- English and Spanish language skills preferred
- Minimum 1 year of preventive maintenance experience on heavy equipment, forklifts, industrial vehicles, or mixed fleets
- Experience servicing diesel, gasoline, and electric-powered equipment
