Job Summary

The material handler will handle and maintain the flow of materials and products throughout the production facility while ensuring materials are moved, stored, and distributed according to established guidelines.

$16 – $17 per hour

Duties

• Physically handle materials used to construct components and finished products

• Lift, carry, stack, and move materials as needed

• Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment

• Follow training provided by foremen and senior material handlers

• Observe and follow all workplace safety procedures and practices

• Attend safety meetings and assist with maintaining a safe work environment

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply

• Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment

• Strong manual dexterity

• Knowledge of safe material handling procedures

• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally

• Ability to perform tasks involving climbing, lifting, pushing, and kneeling

• Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, mechanical equipment, and chemicals
