Job Summary

The Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, storing, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse using powered industrial equipment. This role operates forklifts, cherry pickers (order pickers), and electric pallet jacks (EPJ) while utilizing RF scanners to accurately receive, pick, stage, and ship inventory. The Material Handler works closely with Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers (order pickers), and electric pallet jacks (EPJ) safely and efficiently
• Use RF scanners to receive, pick, pack, and verify inventory transactions
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments while preventing product damage
• Accurately pick and stage customer orders for shipping
• Stock, replenish, and organize inventory in assigned warehouse locations
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives
• Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment before each shift and report any maintenance issues
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and warehouse operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient warehouse operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacks (EPJ) required
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified
