KP Staffing is now hiring paint prep associates for a company that manufactures metal products in Granbury, Texas!
Job Summary
The paint prep associate will assist with preparing metal parts and surfaces for sandblasting and painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, grinding, masking, and moving parts as needed. No previous sandblasting experience is required
Pay
$18 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday
Duties
-
Clean and prepare metal surfaces for sandblasting and painting

Sand, scrape, grind, and wipe down parts
-
Mask or cover areas that should not be painted or blasted
-
Load, unload, move, and position metal parts
-
Assist sandblasters and painters as needed

Use basic hand and power tools

Keep the work area clean and organized
-
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Sand items to prepare for painting
-
Tape off items to get them ready to paint
Qualifications
-
No experience required; industrial or general labor experience is a plus
-
Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy industrial environment
-
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift
-
Willing to learn and follow instructions
-
Dependable and able to work as part of a team
