Job Summary
The production assembler will assemble lifts, seats, and various components used in the production process while supporting the daily scheduled production flow. This role will maintain a clean and organized work environment, follow standard work instructions, and communicate safety, quality, or material concerns as they arise.
Pay
$19 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday
Duties
- Achieve the daily scheduled production
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment
- Report component part shortages to the manufacturing and production managers
- Assess adequacy of component part stocking levels
- Maintain established Kanbans
- Participate in the coordination of the flow of products throughout the manufacturing process
- Assemble lifts, seats, and various components used in the production of company products
- Report unsafe conditions immediately and follow all company safety rules and safe work practices
- Correct or contain unsafe conditions when observed when trained or authorized and escalate concerns to the team lead or manufacturing or production managers
- Follow standard work and work instructions using required tools, fixtures, and personal protective equipment as specified
- Meet expected production pace and communicate barriers such as material shortages, defects, equipment issues, or unclear instructions
- Stop and escalate for safety, quality, or process abnormalities and do not pass defects to the next operation
- Sustain 5S by keeping the workstation organized, labeled, and clean and returning tools and materials to point-of-use locations
- Follow FIFO and Kanban rules as applicable
- Complete required production documentation including counts, checks, scrap, rework, and downtime or issue tracking accurately and on time
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including identifying waste, suggesting improvements, and supporting kaizen actions
- Cross-train and rotate to other stations as assigned
- Maintain required training and certifications
Qualifications
- Lift 50 lbs consistently
