Job Summary

The quality supervisor will lead the organization's quality management system, laboratory operations, ISO certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures compliance with customer requirements, applicable regulations, international standards, and company policies while supporting operational excellence and product quality.

Pay

$80k to 100k anually

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and manage the annual quality management plan
  • Oversee quality control activities for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
  • Lead customer complaint investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Manage supplier quality development and qualification processes
  • Ensure the issuance and accuracy of product quality certificates
  • Conduct process audits and quality assessments to ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements
  • Develop and manage the annual laboratory plan
  • Oversee physical, chemical, metallurgical, and analytical testing activities
  • Manage metrology activities including calibration, verification, and maintenance of measuring equipment
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 laboratory requirements
  • Support failure analysis and technical investigations
  • Design, implement, and maintain the integrated management system
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and ISO 37001
  • Coordinate certification, surveillance, and recertification audits
  • Plan and manage internal and external audits
  • Coordinate audits conducted by customers, certification bodies, governmental agencies, and regulatory authorities
  • Manage audit findings and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor compliance with corporate policies and applicable standards
  • Lead organizational continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
  • Promote data-driven decision-making through statistical analysis and KPI monitoring
  • Drive process optimization and operational excellence programs
  • Participate in PPAP development and customer qualification processes
  • Lead activities related to PFMEA, control plans, statistical process control, and core tools implementation
  • Support new product introductions and customer approvals
  • Lead the organization's document control system
  • Ensure procedures, work instructions, policies, and quality documents remain updated
  • Maintain quality and IMS KPIs
  • Manage and monitor the organization's balanced scorecard
  • Prepare management reports and performance reviews

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization's quality management system, laboratory operations, and integrated management systems
  • Oversee quality control, supplier quality, laboratory testing, metrology, and document control functions
  • Coordinate certification, surveillance, recertification, internal, and external audits
  • Manage audit findings and corrective and preventive actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and organizational performance systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, quality engineering, materials engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience managing laboratory operations and testing programs
  • Experience leading integrated management systems and certification processes
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and ISO 37001
  • Knowledge of core tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with physical and chemical testing, metrology, calibration systems, measurement equipment verification, and laboratory quality assurance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and Minitab
  • Fluent English
  • Advanced Spanish
  • Experience supporting automotive, industrial manufacturing, metals, or copper processing industries preferred
  • Knowledge of SMETA / SEDEX requirements preferred
  • Knowledge of GRI sustainability standards preferred
  • Familiarity with CTPAT preferred
  • Experience implementing KPI dashboards and balanced scorecard methodologies preferred
