Job Summary
The senior procurement specialist will support procurement activities for MRO materials, services, maintenance support, warehouse materials, spare parts, consumables, and plant operational requirements. This role will manage purchasing processes, supplier follow-up, documentation, and procurement compliance using SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.
Pay
$25 per hour
Shift
1st shift: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Duties
- Process and manage procurement actions using SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori
- Review purchase requisitions and issue RFQs
- Evaluate supplier responses and create purchase orders
- Support supplier follow-up activities
- Support procurement of MRO materials, services, maintenance support, warehouse materials, spare parts, consumables, and plant operational requirements
- Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify scope, specifications, delivery requirements, pricing, lead times, and commercial terms
- Support competitive bidding, supplier selection, quote documentation, price analysis, and procurement file completeness
- Monitor open purchase orders, delivery status, supplier confirmations, backorders, and expediting requirements
- Work with Warehouse, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance to resolve receiving, invoice, delivery, and purchase order issues
- Assist with supplier onboarding, supplier performance follow-up, contract support, and procurement compliance documentation
- Maintain procurement records, quotes, approvals, justifications, and supporting documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Support audit readiness by ensuring procurement actions are properly documented, traceable, and compliant
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, buyer, or procurement specialist roles
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs, supplier records, goods receipts, and procurement reporting
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, RFQs, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, expediting, quote documentation, and procurement controls
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, MRO, maintenance, warehouse, or plant operations procurement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Strong Excel, reporting, and procurement documentation skills
- Preferred experience with pipe, tubing, steel, OCTG, oil and gas, manufacturing, mill operations, or heavy industrial procurement
- SAP MM experience, including PR/PO processing, purchasing groups, material masters, vendor/supplier data, goods receipts, invoice issue resolution, and procurement reporting
- Experience supporting audit-ready procurement files, competitive quote documentation, single/sole source documentation, supplier negotiations, and contract administration
- Experience with MRO services, maintenance services, storeroom materials, repair parts, capital support, and operational procurement
