KP Staffing Fort worth is now hiring weekend night shift quality control technicians in North Fort Worth, TX!
Job Summary
The Weekend night shift quality control technician will perform incoming inspections of molded and purchased parts to ensure they meet engineering and quality standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by completing inspections efficiently, recording inspection data, and assisting with stock placement after QA approval.
Pay
$20 – $28 per hour ( DOE )
Shift
Weekend shift: 6 p.m. – 6 a.m., Friday – Sunday
Training on 1st shift: 7 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday
Duties
Conduct inspections per documented instructions using MicroVu vision system, calipers, micrometers, or other devices
Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and short shots
Measure and electronically record dimensional data to ensure part compliance with part print
Compare product with written standards such as print specifications to ensure conformance with product requirements
Communicate status of part examination to the Tooling, Molding, and Quality teams
Generate quality advisement documentation and provide reports to QA engineers or supervisor
Generate emails to report findings and follow up with disposition of stock
Work with warehouse personnel to place components into stock after QA approval
Complete calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
Reject defective parts and mark type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag
Assist in investigation of defective parts using written standards and data collected from the molding process to determine the root cause of the defect
Provide support to assembly, molding, kitting, warehouse, or other departments when needed
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Qualifications
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Associate’s degree in engineering or science preferred
Ability to read and understand detailed part and assembly prints
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook
Good communication skills and follow through on assigned tasks
MicroVu or other measurement equipment experience is preferred
